ONE-HOUR DRAMA For many, the hope is that one enters as a criminal, and exits as a new person: reformed and ready to become a law-abiding, contributing member of society. But the road to full rehabilitation is neither straight nor easy. The system itself throws up many barriers that make reintegration extremely challenging and recidivism especially likely. Rehab tells the story of a young Black woman trying to fight her way back into the good graces of society. She’s trying to prove to herself and to the world that she is entitled to the same things as everyone else: shelter, safety, sense-of-self and above all else—to be with her son. This is a tale about family. Justice. Redemption.
