The Great Canadian Story Engine (Production)

Synopsis

The Great Canadian Story Engine is a partnership between CBC and the Canadian Film Centre that allows Canadians to post their personal stories from a travelling Airstream trailer. CBC radio reporter David Gutnick travelled with the trailer to help glean the tales, which include stories from the Lobster Queen of Shediac, the wife of ‘50s boxing legend The Fighting Fisherman, and a couple who fell in love while chatting about Civil War ghosts. The trailer spends the summer crossing the country, east to west, gathering 500-word stories and hosting community workshops.
