Join us on the Canadian Film Centre campus for a “Summer of Love”, watching films under the stars, by award-winning Canadian filmmakers. 

CFC is pleased to present its first-ever FREE outdoor community film screenings on the CFC campus at 2489 Bayview Avenue. Bring your friends and family, and a blanket or folding chair and snacks and get ready for a night under the stars.

This Place, from director and CFC alumni V.T. Nayani, which premiered at TIFF 2022 will screen – preceded by short films, created by CFC alumni from the CBC Actors Conservatory: Rosie (featuring alumna Rachael Dolan).

August 29, 2023

Beloved romantic comedy Moonstruck, from director and CFC founder Norman Jewison will screen – preceded by short films, created by CFC alumni from the CBC Actors Conservatory: Jupiter (featuring alumna Kat Khan) Dena (featuring alumna Katherine Fogler) and Queenie & Alpha (featuring alumnus Leighton Williams).

The event is free to the public and surrounding neighbourhood. No tickets are required

7:30 pm: Arrivals – find a spot on the lawn and bring your own blanket/chairs and snacks!
8:00 pm: On-screen trivia and live performances by Mafa Dance Village, courtesy of North York Arts
8:20pm (approx.):  Welcome and filmmaker intros / Pre-show shorts, featuring alumni from the CFC’s CBC Actors Conservatory / Feature film screening
