Canadian Screen Awards

That’s a wrap! Canadian Screen Week returned May 28–31, 2024, to celebrate and honour the best in the Canadian screen industry, many of whom we are proud to call CFC alumni. Among the talented winners, CFC alumni took home a staggering 29 awards, following 80+ nominations announced earlier this year. Jennifer Podemski’s Indigenous drama series, Little Bird, dominated the television categories, taking home 13 trophies, including the award for Best Drama Series. Plus, writer and director Zarrar Kahn won the John Dunning Best First Feature Film Award for his work on the Pakistani Canadian supernatural drama film In Flames, executive produced by fellow alum Shant Joshi and Lindsay Blair Goeldner.

This year’s Canadian Screen Awards remind us of the importance of supporting Canadian creators by providing them with opportunities to be heard and seen both here at home and around the globe!

See the full list of CFC alumni winners below. Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients!
