Emily Piggford’s film credits include the short films, Still (Toronto International Film Festival 2014), and the award-winning Frost (Toronto International Film Festival 2012), as well as the feature film, Guidance (Toronto International Film Festival 2014). Her television appearances include The Girlfriend Experience, Spun Out, Lost Girl, The Listener, Netflix Original series Hemlock Grove and the upcoming second season of Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays. Piggford is also a lead in and producer of D.W. Waterson’s online series, That’s My DJ. Recent stage credits include her one-woman show, ana (UnoFest 2016), and Canadian Stage’s Helen Lawrence, which Piggford joined the cast to perform in Toronto, as well as at both the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the deSingel International Arts Centre in Antwerp. She holds a BFA in Theatre from the University of Victoria.
The CBC Actors Conservatory CLOSE-UPS are 3- to 5-minute cinematic works based on original characters created by the actors. These productions are intended for the big screen, and are designed to promote the actors and their talents in an entertaining and meaningful way.
