Manager, Alumni Advancement

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Hours: Monday through Thursday (34 hours per week with flexible start times

Job Summary:

In this new role and under the direction of the Executive Director, the Manager, Alumni Advancement is responsible for the strategic development, effective implementation, evaluation and measurement of innovative initiatives and communication strategies designed to increase alumni engagement and loyalty across a broad, diversified base of alumni.

The objective is to build the foundational groundwork for sustainable alumni engagement across an alumni’s lifecycle and elevate the CFC’s brand and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building
  • Implements programs that allow alumni to engage with one another, stay connected to the CFC, and measures the impact and success of the programs.
  • Designs and implements alumni surveys, analyzes results and makes recommendations to strengthen the alumni experience.
  • Establishes and manages key volunteer relationships, including alumni boards/committees and coordinates alumni volunteers for various CFC activities.
  • Responds to day-to-day alumni correspondence, outreach and other associated duties as assigned.
  • Plans, coordinates, and attends events, meetings, and other related activities to further enhance alumni opportunities. This includes alumni and volunteer recognition, receptions, and reunions.
  • Building the framework that engages alumni to become ambassadors of the CFC

Career Support

  • Researches existing career opportunities and develops partnerships to enhance career opportunities for alumni
  • Researches and develops a full suite of alumni career services, including webinars, internships and online mentoring programs
  • Develops and presents educational programs for alumni including lectures, seminars, and workshops

Administration

  • Prepares statistical and financial reports for management
  • Conducts consistent and ongoing alumni market research, writes follow-up reports and makes presentations on results
  • Ensures alumni information (contact and follow-up) is correctly entered into the database

Required Qualifications:

  • Relationship-building experience
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience and success in generating concepts/events to engage alumni
  • Ability to meet deadlines with thorough attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Self-starter, results-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, donor databases, and/or CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Some evening and weekend work are required, as well as possible travel to support certain activities
