Editors’ Lab

The Editors’ Lab focuses on the development of the narrative, technical and collaborative skills of editors through a series of story and creative analysis workshops, production and post-production exercises including the actual setup and rough cutting of a produced feature. Editors are actively involved in a number of productions through all stages of the filmmaking process including idea pitching, script meetings, visual design sessions, and rough cut to picture lock screenings.

Editors are also building a significantly expanded dramatic reel to showcase their work. Business sessions, workshops and case studies significantly advance the editor’s dramatic editing techniques, prepares them to work professionally within the industry, and provide them with the confidence and knowledge to successfully tackle their first feature film and stay ahead of the ever-changing post-production landscape.
