​“Orphan Black” Gets Picked Up by BBC3 in the UK

Canadian television series, “Orphan Black” was picked up by BBC3 in the UK. In addition to its new channel, “Orphan Black” was also renewed for a second season by BBC America and Space in Canada. The sci-fi drama follows a young woman (Tatiana Maslany) who discovers she is a clone after witnessing the suicide of someone who looks exactly like her.

Orphan Black was developed in the CFC Prime Time Story Room by 2008 Executive Producer in Residence Graeme Manson, along with the 2008 Prime Time program residents

The series also features several CFC alumni, including Executive Producer John Fawcett (‘92), Co-Executive Producer/Writer Karen Walton (‘96), Co-Producer Alex Levine (‘08), Writer/Story CoordinatorChris Roberts (‘11), Writer/Story Editor Tony Elliott (‘01), Editor Brett Sullivan (‘01) and Assistant Property Master Tanya Lemke (‘05).
