Head of Global Content Commercialization, YouTube
Kathryn Friedrich brings more than 18 years of sales, marketing and business operations expertise to Google. She currently oversees YouTube's content monetization strategies, including branded content, merchandising, and sales development. Prior to this role, Kathryn was Head of Video Strategy for the Americas, responsible for launching video products and developing the video sales strategy across Canada, US and LATAM.
Also while at Google, Kathryn ran the US Media and Entertainment display sales team, working with film, television and gaming industries to develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies for some of the largest media companies in the world. She came to Google from magazine publishing where she worked for notable companies such as Hearst, Condé Nast and American Express. She started her career as a financial consultant with KPMG after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
She currently lives in Summit, NJ, with her husband and 2 sons.
