Melissa Hood is a graduate of the CFC’s Actors Conservatory. She recently starred alongside Lauren Ash and Paul Campbell in Shaftesbury’s ensemble comedy feature DIRTY SINGLES. Film & TV credits include: Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), The Listener (CTV), Alphas (SYFY), Flashpoint (CBS), the award-winning web series My Pal Satan (CFC) and the feature film THE FISHING TRIP (TIFF). Stage work includes the one-woman show Jewel by Joan MacLeod and Stop Kiss by Diana Son, for which Melissa received honourable mention in the Torontoist and was listed for “Outstanding Performance” in NOW Magazine.

Melissa also holds a BA in Cultural & Indigenous Environmental Studies from Trent University. She attended George Brown Theatre School and is the co-creator of The Pangnirtung Youth Performance Project in the Eastern Canadian Arctic.
