Pat Mills got his start in the industry as an actor on the series You Can’t Do That On Television (Nickelodeon/ YTV). He received his training at Ryerson University where he was the recipient of the Norman Jewison Filmmaker Award and CityTV Best Film Award for his short comedy THE AFFECTED TURTLENECK TRIO. Latest projects include BABYSITTING ANDY (distributed by Wolfe Video on “HE LIKES GUYS”/“SHE LIKES GIRLS” Short film compilations), Marjorie which has already received an NSI Drama Prize, PAT ’S FIRST KISS (TIFF Talent Lab Short), and 5 DYSFUNCTIONAL PEOPLE IN A CAR (Bravo!FACT). In September 2008, Pat was named winner of the Toronto International Film Festival’s Pitch THIS! Competition for DON’T TALK TO IRENE. Recently, he was accepted into the NSI’s 2010-2011 Totally Television program and the WGC-CTV Diverse Screenwriters Program for his teen series Amnesia Girl. He was also a 2011 CTV Fellow at the Banff World Media Festival. He is now developing Amnesia Girl with CTV’s “Writer Only” program. He is represented by the Jennifer Hollyer Agency.
